VCA Greats - Richard Frankland

Richard Frankland is the head of the Wilin Centre for Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development; a member of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music; and the subject of our third instalment of our VCA & Conservatorium Greats campaign.

Richard is a prolific creative. A poet, musician, author and filmmaker, he's written, directed and produced over fifty video, documentary and film projects. A highly acclaimed activist, Richard was nominated for Australian of the Year in 2013 for his work with Indigenous community groups and work on lateral violence and community awareness.

In June, we met and profiled Richard at his property in the southwest of Victoria. We were captivated by his story and look forward to sharing it with you in the coming month.
