Recently we were invited to capture the Staying On Track Youth Forum in Melbourne. The forum hosted an array of diverse 18 to 25 year olds armed with ideas and opinions about the often challenging transition from education to meaningful employment. We worked on this project with VicHealth, who initiated the forum to tackle the specific issue of mental health during this transition, consulting directly with those affected - young people!

We captured the attendees breaking up into smaller groups to deliberate, research and debate this complex issue. The group of young Victorians worked together to address the question “how can we support young adults on their journey to find purposeful work?”. In a weekend, these young adults used their voice to agree on 11 specific recommendations or ‘asks’ in response to this question. We look forward to VicHealth sharing this video with the state and the first hand account of these young legends in action.
