Phenomenom at Swan Hill Onion Growers

In November we travelled up to Swan Hill to shoot another installment of Alice Zaslavsky’s online food education program Phenomenom! We interviewed third-generation vegetable growers Jake and Hope Shadbolt and their 3-legged blue heeler Frankie. We loved learning about the complicated process of growing and preparing onions for our consumption. The footage we shot will be part of Phenomenom’s next AgHeroes project which encourages students to consider a career in Agriculture.
